Nestled in the foothills of Southern Minnesota, Bluff Country Quilting is a longarm quilting service owned and operated by Judy and Dave Hass. Who we are is really all about you. We are committed to completing your vision, your artistry, and your workmanship using the finest finishing techniques.

Through the years we have built a reputation for prestige services. A natural complement to the needle arts heritage, Bluff Country Quilting continues to merge technology with traditional craftsmanship. Our promise to you—ribbon-worthy attention to detail.

Judy Hass

My passion for sewing began at age seven as I sewed side-by-side with my grandmother who taught me the “fine art” of making doll clothes. Later, following in my grandmother’s footsteps, I began sewing professionally as a dressmaker and seamstress.

Over the years I discovered the sheer joy of quilting while quickly becoming immersed in every aspect of the craft and soon was making sample display quilts for a retail quilt shop.

If asked to choose between chocolate and fabric, I will choose fabric every time. The color, the texture, the patterns! I will always make room for more. I can’t wait to see what you have created and look forward to working with you to complete your work of art.

Dave Hass

As a former retail manager for the Singer Company, United States Consumer Products Division, I was at the very beginning of the electronics revolution in the sewing machine industry. Today, my knowledge of computer-controlled sewing machines has proven valuable in operating and maintaining high-tech longarm sewing equipment.
